Jenners Edinburgh

Jenners was a well-established department store in Edinburgh, Scotland, situated on Princes Street. It was Scotland’s oldest independent department store until the retail business was acquired by House of Fraser in 2005.

It closed in December 2020 and was vacated by House of Fraser in May 2021. This beautiful Princes Street building will eventually be restored.

New Town Harvey Nichols

Multrees Walk is a pedestrian shopping precinct in central Edinburgh. It was built in 2003 as part of a larger city centre redevelopment.

The short pedestrianised street links St Andrew Square to the St James Quarter, lined on each side with designer stores selling clothing, artwork and various other luxury items.

Harvey Nichols department store is the anchor of the development. The large store has its grand main entrance on St. Andrew Square, with a smaller entrance onto Multrees Walk.

Multrees Walk, Harvey Nichols and Edinburgh Bus Station were all designed by Edinburgh architects CDA. The bus station sits at a lower level from Multrees and is accessed by escalators from St Andrew Square, or by a ramped entrance from Elder Street.
