Edinburgh Housing Jump
Edinburgh City Council has announced plans for massive investment in housing across the city: 50% more homes every year, up from around 2000 to 3000. Affordable homes built will rise from 500 to 750 but apparently 12,000 are required in the next 10 years. Public sector land is to be released for new housing, including major sites owned by the local authority and the NHS. The council is to press for more money from the Scottish Government.

Rejected resort proposals to be called in by the Scottish Executive 041207. Meanwhile Ian Paisley has encouraged Trump to bring his resort to County Antrim.
