Edinburgh-based Property developers Kenmore has called in the administrators. The company had undertaken major projects with gm+ad architects and Michael Laird Architects in recent years. All 50 jobs in the Edinburgh offices are now at risk, after the Lloyds Banking Group appointed administrator Grant Thornton. The company founded by John Kennedy in 1986 has offices in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, and six overseas. 16 Nov

Last year Scott Sutherland students looked at the UNESCO World Heritage Site that doubles as the capital city of Scotland and is, according to Penny Lewis "hamstrung by its cultural heritage and under constant scrutiny from the world’s self-appointed cultural guardians" [AJ, 13th August 2009].
This year, students will carry out a detailed analysis of the development of a new town, taking the proposition that Edinburgh is "more or less complete".
