Restoring Edinburgh's Parthenon
Work has begun on restoring the National Monument on Calton Hill. The project is part of the Twelve Monuments Project, a joint initiative of Edinburgh World Heritage and the City of Edinburgh Council which is restoring some of the city’s famous statues and monuments.

Construction News
Luxury Edinburgh developer Gregor Shore has gone into administration. The firm, employs 120 people and had a major role in Leith's regeneration in the last decade.
Platinum Point completion delayed six years to 2023.
Long-running Borders building firm Craigvar Construction will close at the end of 2008 due to the credit crunch.
Applecross is reportedly further cutting its workforce by another 20, abandoning plans to expand in England, and moving its headquarters to a smaller building.
Stewart Milne Group are cutting around 200 jobs in Scotland and 100 in England.
