MSP Attacks Edinburgh Architecture
Dr Ian McKee launched a scathing attack on Edinburgh University, branding the institution a "vandal" which has been "let loose" on Edinburgh's historic buildings. Amongst familiar - and deserved - targets such as the Appleton Tower, Princes Street and the St James Centre, he describes the transformation of Potterrow as having "the ambience of a deserted factory site". He also criticised listing and retention of the elegant Commonwealth Pool. 5 Nov
