Developers’ Profiles

MAB, Holland

An independent property development and investment company, MAB operates in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium and the UK. The group has headquarters in The Hague.

MAB is a European market leader in the development and management of large, complex urban regeneration projects, including retail, commercial and residential projects, and in the development and management of shopping centres. The company has unique experience in working within historic environments to enhance their viability and beauty.

A unique quality monitoring process is implemented throughout MAB developments via its Concept Group. This group of architects and urban designers supervises operating companies’ projects as consultant throughout the development period.

The EDI Group, Scotland

Established in 1988 by The City of Edinburgh Council to carry out the development of Edinburgh Park – one of Europe’s foremost business parks – The EDI Group has gone on to develop most forms of property, from office and retail through to factories and housing for the homeless.

The EDI Group works in partnership with both public and private sectors, carrying out specific property projects which are not only profitable but bring added value in respect to architectural, environmental and economic development benefits. It has a wealth of experience in development of both city centre and suburban projects, which is reflected in the company’s strategic role to enhance the built environment in support of social and economic objectives.

In addition to Edinburgh Park, EDI has a strong track record of direct property development, including a competition winning scheme at Coalhill which comprised flats, office and retail space; the Clocktower Estate at South Gyle, a speculative industrial development; and the refurbishment of One Parliament Square, a Grade A listed building comprising a district court, residential flats and commercial units.
