The building designed by Sydney Mitchell and Wilson was constructed in 1899-1900.

The Scots Renaissance church and offices are formed from a four-bay plan over two storeys. The property is faced in smooth red sandstone ashlar, painted to ground.

Bays are divided by pilasters, channelled at the ground, with fluted Ionic pilasters at the first floor. Continuous cornices can be found at the ground floor and at the eaves.

There is a ecessed two-leaf timber panelled door with leaded glass in decorative fanlight in a key-blocked round-arched surround with broken pediment containing cartouche to outer left. There also exist decorative wrought-iron gates.

In terms of fenestation there is a three-light mullioned and transomed window in the second bay from the left, and a two-bay shop to the right. There are four tall round-arched windows with geometric tracery and clear leaded glass at 1st floor.

A blind oculus in central shaped wallhead gable is flanked by a parapet. Finally, there is a pitched roof with gablet roof behind pediment and two gables to rear forming F-plan.
