Faithful+Gould : New Edinburgh Office

COUNCIL LEADER MARKS NEW ERA FOR FAITHFUL+GOULD

Councillor Donald Anderson, Edinburgh City Council leader, yesterday (Wednesday 26 April) officially opened the new Edinburgh office of leading project and cost consultancy Faithful+Gould at Canning Exchange.

In the heart of the capital’s financial district, the relocation ensures around 70 staff remain focused on key Edinburgh developments.

Faithful+Gould is the lead project manager on the £1 billion redevelopment of Princes Street and the £60 million development of Telford College’s new flagship campus.

Commenting on the opening, Donald Lawson, Faithful+Gould director, said the move is a sign of continued growth and development of the company. He said: “The past 18 months have been extremely busy for us, with our client base continuing to expand as we bring in new contracts across the commercial and public construction sectors.

Our strength undoubtedly lies in the calibre of our staff and the new office will help us to continue to attract and retain top graduates and leading consultants.”

Councillor Donald Anderson believes the expansion reflects the strength of the Scottish business community. He said: “As a leading force behind the regeneration of Edinburgh, it is fitting that Faithful+Gould has opted for a new office based in one of the most prominent business districts of the city. It is also pleasing to see this type of expansion in the capital, which will allow Faithful+Gould to attract and retain some of the country’s greatest home-grown talent on home soil.”

Faithful+Gould shares the new premises with parent company Atkins, as it did its previous office on Melville Street. Design and engineering consultancy Atkins is currently working with Edinburgh City Council to design primary schools and also provided building services and structural engineering on the new computer facility at Napier University.

Faithful+Gould provides an independent service in three key areas: consulting, project management and commercial services.

The new address is Canning Exchange, 10 Canning Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EG, Tel: 0131 221 5600
