"The cafeteria at The Fruitmarket Gallery is situated on the ground floor of the gallery. The stylish interior blends mirrored walls, steel-topped tables and huge glass windows to great effect. Menus are created around fresh local produce with the emphasis on simple ideas with a twist, always served in generous quantities. Pastas, huge gourmet salads, chilli, hot melts and soups are always featured. Throughout the day fresh cakes and pastries are served with expertly made coffee and a selection of teas, fruit juices, wines and beers. Featuring a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with efficient and attentive table service, the cafeteria is the perfect venue for any social or business occasion".
I have eaten at the Fruitmarket Cafeteria on many occasions and found both the food and service extremely good: in fact on my last visit with relatives from the States everything came with a smile and the food was exquisite. It may look like a down-to-earth cafe but the Fruitmarket Cafe is really professional and seriously cool.
