Hadrian's Brasserie is entered from North Bridge, just around the corner from the Princes Street entrance. The Balmoral Hotel is one of Edinburgh's few 5-star Hotels and one of the most famous Scottish Hotels.

One of Edinburgh's two turn-of-the-century Railway Hotels - the other being the Caledonian Hotel at the opposite end of Princes Street Gardens - forming massive bookends to Edinburgh's central green space.

Number one is a Michelin Star restaurant. The Chef is Jeff Bland. Number one is located just to one side of the Balmoral Hotel's main entrance onto Prince Street. Jeff Bland and the number one team retained their Michelin Star in Jan 2004. Alternatively options include Hadrian's Brasserie, Palm Court, NB's Bar and The Balmoral Spa.
