Previously based in Leith for the last 18 years, Holmes relocated to its new office space at the end of January. Holmes Edinburgh partner Neil Maxwell said: This is a very positive development for the practice. We are now in the very heart of the city and look forward to strengthening our position in the wider Scottish marketplace and adding to our diverse portfolio of projects. Our ongoing collaborative relationship with Kathryn Findlay of Ushida Findlay Architects, which is now in its second year, continues with both practices relocating to these new premises. We are keen to continue to engage with other creative professionals, universities & colleges and the wider property development sector in central Edinburgh and contribute positively to the citys future economic and cultural success. Holmes Edinburgh office is currently engaged on a range of projects including schools, a training college, and custodial projects in Edinburgh and Polmont. A new apartment hotel for Fraser Property Developments on St Giles Street in the citys Old Town, for which Holmes has provided architectural and interior design services, is due for completion in spring 2009.
