Orocco Pier Review
Despite the forty minute wait for our starters we really enjoyed the experience, good design, good food and a great view. Service could have been slightly more attentive. The waiting staff were all dressed in black and were smart and polite. We felt they could have checked on us more and kept us informed of delays in service. We missed a maitre'd figure, someone who looked visibly in charge!
However both starters were good - the Breaded Goats cheese (£4.25) was tastiest but good to see Calamari with lime aiol (£4.95) cooked in large chunks rather than ringed and breaded. The Cajun rib eye steaks (£8.95) cooked rare were just that and the puffy chips and pepper salad hit the spot, not greasy or tired but fresh and crisp.
