SmartCity Hostel - introduction:
Recent completion of hostel and student residences off Cowgate – facades principally of white render and cedar cladding. Designed by Fletcher Joseph Architects, construction is by Mowlem plc. 080307
The development includes conversion of the 5 storey Blackfriars House, former OldTown printing works and latterly offices, plus a 6 storey extension. SmartCity Hostels is the trading name of Europa Inns (UK) Ltd.
