VinCaffe, recently opened, offers a city centre venue for Valvona & Crolla Ltd. - undoubtably one of Scotlands finest delicatessens. ![]() Valvona & Crolla restaurant: image from Reaich and Hall Architects The project was completed to a very tight programme and opened to host Gordon Browns Piggy Bank Kids charity and Nigella Lawsons Scottish book launch of Feast. ![]() Valvona & Crolla restaurant: entry - internal image from Reaich and Hall Architects The architectural expression explores creating an interior architecture which somehow expressed the clients new venture yet also evoked a sense of having been there for years. ![]() Valvona & Crolla restaurant: entry - image from Reaich and Hall Architects The first floor contains a restaurant and private dining rooms, this is expressed in a palette of rich, simply detailed materials notably walnut floor and wall panels. The ground floor contrasts with the upstairs. Here the brief was more ambiguous, a shop combined with eating and drinking, a place to drop in and converse.
