Valentine House, Fife

Baillie Scott House, Scotland

Sandford Country House Hotel was designed in the arts & crafts style by architect MH Baillie Scott in 1902. Sandford Cottage was built for the Valentine family of Dundee.

Another interesting house by an English architect of the same period:

Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott lived from 1865 to 1945. Baillie Scott was born - and died - in Kent, England, but set up practice on the Isle of Man in 1892.

Building close to this MH Baillie Scott house: Maggies Kirkcaldy, the first permanent building by Zaha Hadid in the UK.
