Sandford Country House Hotel was designed in the arts & crafts style
by architect MH Baillie Scott in 1902. Sandford Cottage was built for
the Valentine family of Dundee.

Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott lived from 1865 to 1945. Baillie Scott was born
- and died - in Kent, England, but set up practice on the Isle of Man
in 1892.
