Level Architect - Edinburgh 1 Jul 2009 Our client is an established Architectural practice who is looking to recruit a Senior Architect to head up their upcoming Edinburgh office. They are in the process of finalising the details of the purchase of an established small practice and they are looking to appoint a senior candidate who has extensive local knowledge and experience in the Edinburgh and Scottish market to head up the office. You will be a Part III qualified Architect and it is likely you will have in the region of at least twenty years post qualification experience. Our client is looking for architects who can demonstrate experience in managing a team of staff; however more importantly is the ability to deal effectively with clients as this will be an integral part of the role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong track history of building and developing client relationships, and be able to bring a strong local presence and knowledge to the practice. We are looking for candidates with a good mix of experience, and you will have knowledge of a variety of building types, the ideal candidate will have retail, residential, healthcare and education experience, all candidates should also have strong experience of dealing with private sector developers. Candidates whose experience is solely in one sector will be unsuitable for this position. Candidates must be able to start work this year and ideally in around 2-3 months time. A strong character, good leadership skills and excellent communication and people skills are essential for this role. Applicants must be able to deal effectively with external clients at all levels.
