Platinum Point, Western Harbour, Newhaven / Leith 2003-04 Gilbert Associates ![]() Platinum Point, Leith: image from Gregor Shore Platinum Point is a large residential development on reclaimed land in Leith Western Harbour, opposite the Ocean Terminal. ![]() Platinum Point, Leith: image from Gregor Shore Over 450 luxury flats will be housed in 7-14-storey buildings; construction is steelframe, using Slimdeck; external metal envelope is manufactured on site; Buro Happold undertook a fire engineering design for the second building, after the fire resistance periods required by the relevant legislation were changed.
