Over 450 luxury flats will be housed in 7-14-storey buildings; construction is steelframe, using Slimdeck; external metal envelope is manufactured on site; Buro Happold undertook a fire engineering design for the second building, after the fire resistance periods required by the relevant legislation were changed.
Platinum Point is at end of Newhaven Place.
Platinum Point is developed on land mostly reclaimed from the Western Harbour in a massive project linked back to the removal of spoil from the Ocean Terminal site from 1999-2002.
