Despite the forty minute wait for our starters we really enjoyed the experience, good design, good food and a great view. Service could have been slightly more attentive. The waiting staff were all dressed in black and were smart and polite, but we felt they could have checked on us more and kept us informed of delays in service. The Boat House - 19b High Street, South Queensferry ** +44 (0)131 331 5429 The Boat House restaurant has a good reputation amongst Edinburgh & Lothians diners. A cosy group of rooms perched on the edge of the Forth with excellent service and fresh seafood. We found service was attentive, especially at the start of the meal with water offered before we could request it and bread and water replenished again without us having to ask for it. The propietors served us with assistance from a younger waiter.
