The staircase not only serves as a functional connection between the upper and lower levels of your home – but it can also transform the aesthetic appeal and style of your space.
In most cases, it’s the first thing guests will see when they step over the threshold, so it’s only right that it needs to be in tip-top shape.

2. Install a new bannister or handrail

3. Add a carpet runner

These are available in a plethora of colours, styles, patterns, and textures, so you’re sure to find something suitable for your staircase renovation project.
You could cover every step completely for a seamless finish, or roll out the red (or blue, or green, or striped, or funky) carpet for your guests and fit it straight down the middle of your stairs.
4. Clad over the treads and risers
Cladding over the existing treads and risers with non-slip oak will not only allow you to enhance the look of worn stair parts, but will guarantee the safety of your household and guests, too.
