Delivery of the station for these commuters has been made possible via a partnership with a number of key organisations, and each has had a valuable role in what has been a complex project." ![]() image by Frazer Hay Ian Wall, Director of New Edinburgh Limited, the developer of Edinburgh Park, said: "The new Edinburgh Park station will provide a valuable amenity for those working in and around Edinburgh Park. We are the first business park in Scotland to have its own railway station, and this along with a number of other initiatives involving transport and community, will go a long way to making Edinburgh Park a more attractive place to work as well as boosting the investment and commercial potential of the development." ![]() image by Frazer Hay "This is the eighth new station to open on the ScotRail network since National Express took on the franchise in 1997," says ScotRail Managing Director Peter Cotton. "We're delighted that all the hard work behind the scenes by all of the partners in the project has come to such splendid fruition. Edinburgh Park is only nine minutes from Waverley, twelve from Linlithgow, and 23 from Newcraighall in the east of the capital so commuters now have a fast and convenient alternative to the daily grind by road. And ScotRail's making it even easier with money saving season ticket offers to kick-start the train habit." ![]() building image by Frazer Hay Edinburgh Park Station - Building PR: Dec 2003 Issued on behalf of City of Edinburgh Council and New Edinburgh Limited by Weber Shandwick Another Edinburgh Railway Station: Haymarket Station & Goods Yard Site Scottish Architecture: best Scottish Buildings of the last three decades Edinburgh News Waverley Station Railway Station in Glasgow: Glasgow Central Station |
