Over 20 of the capital's police boxes are up for sale.

The police boxes were specifically designed to complement the classical architecture of Edinburgh by the then City Architect. 30 Apr 2012

The influence for the Tardis in Doctor Who

Designed by E.J. MacRae, City Council Architect in 1930s.

Examples of these police boxes can be seen around town from a coffee shop on Rose Street to the Royal Mile and as far out as Craigmillar.
