The College was founded in 1870. It was designed by David Bryce, and completed (1864-70) in Scots Baronial style. ![]() photograph © Adrian Welch 011007 Bryce's other major landmark building in Edinburgh is the Bank of Scotland high up on the Mound, on the north cliff of the Old Town, refurbished by Malcolm Fraser, 2004-2006 This Public School famously was where Tony Blair was educated.
