Accessed in the Burial Ground's north-west corner from Regent Road, near the Burns Monument, the New Burial Ground is located on sloping ground down to the cobbled Calton Road.

Further West on the other side of St Andrew's House is the Calton Old Burial Ground, divided by Waterloo Place which becomes Regent Road further east.
