Hawthornden School

Interesting timber-clad school in uninspiring suburban flatlands. This Midlothian School building makes an effort and was much-publicised when it opened, but should be the norm. The advent of PFI suggests we might even be going backwards: a study tour of Dutch schools for the powers-that-be would be a very good use of public money.
