Michael Laird Architects is delighted to announce that construction work has commenced on a new three-storey speculative office building for Highland Properties Assets (South Gyle) Limited on the site of the former BAE Systems building at No. 1 South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh.
The new building, set within its own clearly defined landscape setting, is arranged around a landscaped central courtyard and provides 146,000 sq.ft of open plan office accommodation with the flexibility to subdivide the available space into as many as 12 office suites.
At roof level, plant space is located around the central courtyard incorporating enclosed plant rooms for air handling units and open plant compounds for banks of VRV air conditioning condensers.
The South Gyle project was completed late 2003.
