Craighouse Campus
Updated £90m proposal labelled “diabolical” by campaigners, according to today’s Edinburgh Evening News. Scaled-back plans for the former Napier University campus at Craighouse have been submitted to the city council – with the number of homes on the site reduced by almost a quarter. Questions of ownership and attribution are addressed in the new exhibition by Nick Sargent, entitled ‘A Scottish Land’. The focus of the exhibition at Schop is a large scale, painted and embroidered canvas entitled ‘A Scottish Landscape’.

Designed for Edinburgh Art Festival in St Andrew Square by artist and Professor of Art at Edinburgh College of Art, Karen Forbes, this temporary structure is a “contemporary expression of the city’s long fascination with optics and optical devices for viewing”.
